Whoops, amidst all the seasonal excitement I almost forgot to take care of my bloggerly duties. Never mind, here's your account of what when down on last Sunday's show: much dwelling on darkness, lightness, holiday wishes and a tribute to Freekick hero Don Van Vliet AKA Captain Beefheart (pictured here in a 1980 photo by Alex Waterhouse-Hayward), who died from complications of MS on Friday Dec. 17.

The artists we played included Yes, Roland Kirk, Syl Johnson, Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band, Mohammed Rafi, Can, The MGM Orchestra conducted by Eugene Poddany with Thurl Ravenscroft and Boris Karloff, Shirley Temple, Billie Holiday, Syd Barrett, Lez Zeppelin, Bonnie Guitar, Nico, Faust, Moody Blues, The Dhol Foundation, Marcelo Birck and Sixtoo!
