May 23, 2010 - The Rite of Freekick
My Dad always had trouble with the Boston Police in the 1940's, something he shares with composer Igor Stravinsky (pictured here), who was arrested for his arrangement of The Star Spangled Banner. Who knew it was so dangerous to visit Boston in the 40's? I wonder if Jimi Hendrix ever played his version of The Star Spangled Banner in Boston and got arrested for it. The police didn't come knocking at my door during the most recent edition of Freekick, but then we're not in Boston of the 1940's. They may have been offended by the likes of:

Bob Dylan, The Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Zubin Mehta, Tommy Babin's Benzene, Master Drummers of Africa, Alpha Thiam, Hedzoleh Soundz, No-Neck Blues Band, Mi Ami, Maggie Estep, Jimi Hendrix, Apollo, Music from the Film, The Slew, NMB Brass Band, Monty Python, Edmund Welles, King Khan and The Shrines, and Tagaq.
